The Color Blue

Updated: Mar 28

This will be my first post of what will hopefully become my daily blog. I have been using Morning Pages for years as a tool to connect, quiet my mind, and get into flow. In this practice, I will meditate on a theme that is at the forefront of my mind, get into a writing flow to unpack it, and consult my cards for more insight and information. I have to say, day one was beautiful and brought me to tears. I hope you enjoy.

The Color Blue

Blue is the ocean, the rivers, the streams.

Blue is water, and it's an energy that flows.

Blue plate dinners fill us up and satiate.

Blue holds the mystery and the vastness of the sky.

Blue is when we feel sad, heavy, forlorn, forgotten, regretful.

Blue is the color of our throat chakra.

It is our feeling come to life. From the vastness and oneness of the sky and sea, whose shades vary day by day, hour by hour.

Whose condition can change in an instant.

Storms, conflict, unexpected disruptions,

stillness, calm; lightning and thunder, crashing waves.

They all exist in the Blue.

Then the blue turns black (and she does every night),

a cycle to turn feeling internal, to take refuge from the weather,

to enter another reality, our sleep world.

The place we get to go while the blue fades.

A reprieve from the ebb and flow.

Alas, the great Sun does rise again.

Although the stream may be dammed, the throat chakra tight, the sky dim and gray, the Blue is always on its way back to perfection.

To balance, to pure expression of nature's beauty.

With a little care and time, and help from friends, all storms can be weathered.

All shades of blue experienced in their full richness.

All things felt, seen, tasted, revered.

For it is such a gift being Human on Earth.

Card pull from Spirit relating to the color blue. I trust my intuition to choose the correct decks and cards to complete the message. All of the writing was done prior to pulling these cards. The Sacred Geometry Activations Oracle resonated with it's correlation to the energy fields of the mind, body, and earth. The Wild Unknown Animal Spirit Deck was calling me with energies from the spirits of the four elements and the animal spirits that reside in those energies - it truly astonishes me how the cards complete my thoughts and synchronicity never fails. I am forever in awe.

Notable quotes from the respective guidebooks:

The Throat Chakra card is card number 5 from the Sacred Geometry Oracle
The Throat Chakra card is card number 5 from the Sacred Geometry Oracle

Throat Chakra - 5

"The frequency of the throat chakra - the blue flower of life - supports our self-expression and our sense of peace and balance."

Think for a moment about the last time you really expressed a deep truth to someone. How did it feel to be completely honest and authentic in your expression? Are you always able to express yourself that way? If not, what holds you back?

The Bat

"Darkness, letting go, death leading to rebirth."

This card is so appropriate as we approach the end of some big, serious astrological shifts and events at the end of March.

"The bat is a master of the subtle senses, of the underlying forces that cause some things to prosper and others to fade. The Bat card shows up to signify the ending of a chapter, the closing of a door. The Bat comes swiftly, encouraging us to move on. In just a few hours a new day dawns."

When it's out of balance it refuses to let go and reminisces on the past. The guidebook also notes that when the Bat energy is in balance it accepts, adjusts, and adapts.

In conclusion:

Today, honor your throat chakra by speaking your truth. Feel its cooling effects calm your nerves and relax your throat. Feel your feelings deeply, and allow yourself to move on. Notice how other forces come in, but you decide how long the storm will last.
